The
Third Regional Community Architects Network Workshop and Meeting will take place between 16th-23rd June 2015 in Metro Manila, hosted by the
Philippine Alliance. This year's theme is:
Together we CAN! People planning for inclusive future cities.
The workshop will regroup
over 100 participants from different countries, including CAN members, people’s organisations, representatives of local and international institutions such as public authorities, academics and students, CBOs, NGOs, etc. The event will
involve several activities, such as the presentation of the Philippine context; the sharing of country experiences and updates on their processes and approaches for community architecture; reflection sessions; exhibits; etc.
Additionally, the event will include
community fieldwork in two locations in Metro Manila:
Intramuros (heritage planning with people) and
Muntinlupa City (City-wide Development Approach), with the aim of putting into practice the participatory tools and methodologies followed by community architects in working with communities to support and enable people-driven solutions, and a
Public Forum for each area involving all stakeholders.
This event is open to all professionals, academics and/or students involved in community architecture or planning.
Registration fees (includes workshop and meals, excludes accommodation):
Limited free spaces for students
Full workshop (8 days): USD 250 if sponsored by organisation/ institution
Full workshop (8 days): USD 180 if self funded
Partial workshop (5 days): USD 220 if sponsored by organisation/ institution
Partial workshop (5 days): USD 150 if self funded
