Besides managing ACHR, Somsook was the director of the Community Organizations Development Institute (CODI) at the time of writing this article.
Catalyzing pro-poor development: the role of savings and savings organizations - June 2004
This paper, written by Diana Mitlin at IIED in London, was published as IIED Working Paper No. 15 (under the Human Settlements Group's Poverty Reduction in Urban Areas series) in June 2004. The paper summarizes some the key issues that came up in an international workshop on housing finance and poverty that was held in Bangkok, in June 2004. The workshop was jointly organized by the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights (ACHR), the Community Organizations Development Institute (CODI) and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED).
